If you are interested in improving your English level, learning a new language or making international friends, this activity is for you!
Conversation exchange is getting really popular these days, especially in a cosmopolitan city like Dublin. It’s an inexpensive way to have interesting conversations and learn a foreign language at the same time.

The average price is around two euros which is a really good price if you consider it an extra language class.
The usual arrangement is one to one conversation but they may be organised as small group chats as well. It consists of a group of people who want to practice speaking a foreign language. For example, you practice English and the Irish (or or other nationalities) you meet, practice speaking your language.

You will find a great mix of cultures and ages among its members. They also host groups for parents and children like Japanese Language and Culture Group or Parent and Child Language Groups.
They are held in Ballymun, Cabra, Central Library, Coolock, Donaghmede, Pearse Street, Pembroke, Raheny and Walkinstown libraries but you can also find these conversation exchange meetings in pubs and coffee shops all around the city centre. Dates and times may vary so it is advisable to check with organisations in advance.
A popular conversation exchange is organised by Dublin City Council but you can discover more groups like this one on social networks such as Facebook or Meetup (prices and number of members may vary from one group to another).
