Luas Cross City | Pub Crawl
On Saturday I was so excited about the opening of the new Luas Cross City line that I decided to try the new route. It was Saturday night though, so I wanted to have few drinks as well. That’s when the Luas line pub crawl came to mind – Taking the luas and getting off to visit a pub at each stop. Genius!
The Inaugural Route:
Started from Harcourt Street. The Odeon is right there. Great atmosphere, great cocktails and good music, free in.
Next stop Westmoreland street to spend some time in Cassidy’s. Like their sister pub, P’Macs, Cassidy’s is a great pub for craft beers and board games.
Back on the Luas, I stopped in Phibsborough to try The Back Page for some bingo, followed by McGowan’s to dance away.
I’ve created a map for future Luas Cross City Pub Crawl expeditions – starting from the Luas Green Line in Ranelagh all the way to Phibsborough on the north side – alternative sightseeing! And a new Christmas tradition – There’s a mix of pub types so go with bells on!
Ranelagh – The Taphouse
Charlemont – The Barge Pub and Bernard Shaw
Harcourt Street – The Odeon
Stephen’s Green – No.10
Dawson Street – Café en Seine
Westmoreland Street – Cassidy’s
O’Connell GPO – The Grand Central
O’Connell Upper – Murray’s Pub
Dominic – The Kings Inn
Broadstone – Cumiskey’s Lounge
Phibsborough – The Back Page + McGowan’s to end the night
