Min Age Requirement: 17+
The Babel Academy General English course focuses on improving fluency in speaking, listening, reading and writing for authentic interactions. You gain a good foundation in grammar and functional vocabulary. Lesson activities challenge you to creatively produce language in real-life contexts. Task-based activities, group work, presentations, and role-plays make sure that lessons are engaging. You will gain confidence in English communication for socialising, travel, daily life, work and leisure activities.
Enrolled students gain access to the Babel Student GELnet App. As a supplement to our fun and interactive in-person classes, dedicated teachers, and in-house guidance from Babel student services team, this digital tool provides additional support to help students get the most from their Babel Academy experience in Dublin. It is a learning tool which enables students to track their learning journey, see measurable progress, access course resources and gain additional personalised study support.
Before arrival, students use the App to easily access school and course information, and complete the level assessment test. They have a personalised dashboard where they can find class and attendance info during their course. Daily and weekly learning outcomes are set by their teacher. Students can access learning materials and receive personal study recommendations. They receive notifications on Babel social and cultural excursions, and school events.
