Our Erasmus+ teacher training courses at Babel Academy of English in Dublin are designed for teachers, trainers and education professionals who want to develop their skills in an international environment. The programmes combine practical workshops, English language development and cultural experience in Ireland, with a focus on skills that can be applied directly in the classroom.
In organisations eligible for grants to run Erasmus+ projects, those grants can fund your participation on a staff training course. Our staff training courses are eligible to be fully funded by Erasmus+ KA1 Learning Mobility of Individuals.

Founded in 2017, we have been running staff training programmes since our establishment. Each year we build on the insights gained from participants to develop and enhance our courses. We have welcomed secondary school teachers from Yakutsk, Russia; education coordinators from Portugal; senior teachers from Martinique; university lecturers from Poland; primary school teachers from France; academic administrators from Hungary; international office staff from Germany; vocational education and training tutors from Austria, to name a few. We welcome participants from diverse backgrounds and encourage them to share their experiences with their new international network.

Our approach places emphasis on participation and encouraging collaborative action. Language sessions include communicative activities, role-plays, and group work. Workshops include reflective activities, self-evaluation, group discussions, project work and presentations.
Our courses are designed for staff for whom English is a second language. Participants complete a language assessment before arrival. During first-day registration and induction, you have a meeting with a member of the academic team to assess your speaking skills and requirements – you are then placed in the class that best suits your English language level. We have courses suitable for all levels from A1 to C1.

Our Erasmus+ staff training courses combine English language development with professional development workshops. All programmes include English language classes in the morning. Practical activities ensure you bring back ideas and activities useful to your institution. On social and cultural programme excursions, you have opportunities to socialise and explore Ireland’s rich culture and history.
