#StayHome Easter 2020

#StayHome Easter 2020

Worldwide millions of people will be staying at home this Easter in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19. While keeping our loved ones safe, we’ll also be finding different ways to spend our time at home. Here are some great ideas to keep the household entertained, and to connect with friends online:

  • Get Artistic: a French Graphic Designer living in Dublin has got together with friends and published a free illustrated colouring e-book. You can download it here.

  • Keep Fit: A great way to keep your body fit and take care of your mental health is to do Yoga. It’s also easy to do indoors or in the garden. There are plenty of videos for beginners on Youtube, but Esther Ekhart’s is highly recommended.

  • Get Cultural: You can visit art galleries and museum exhibitions from all over the world from the comfort of your home using this great online resource.

  • Cook an Adventurous Easter Sunday Dinner: Open Culture offer free cooking courses online. Check out their website and scroll down to the Food Courses section.

  • Show off your Linguistic Skills: The Words with Friends App is a multiplayer word game. Players take turns building words in a crossword puzzle. It’s similar to the classic board game Scrabble. You can download for free from the Apple App store or Google Play Apps.

  • Go to a Music Gig…Online: As concerts are cancelled or postponed for the foreseeable future many musicians are streaming their gigs instead. Weekly updates of musical listings are available here.

  • Home Cinema with Friends: You may not be able to go to the cinema at the moment, but you can still enjoy a movie with friends. Using the Netflix Party App you can link up with your mates and watch together.

  • Late Nights: Cards Against Humanity is already a hugely popular (and controversial) game, now you can play online. Drinking optional ;)

And, of course, if you have more availability and want to make the most of it, now is the time to improve your English language skills. Get more information about Babel English Online Courses here.
